Hability to save/restore groups
I would like if user could save and restore a group. Would be cool to be able to save and restore groups when ever user wants... it would allow to avoid the load of all the groups when we start the browser...
if we want to restore a group we would just need to select the one we want and it would load...

We could try and work something like this into the Open Bookmark Folder as new tab group. I think that having a dynamic list of tab groups and then restoring one (current tabs open for the “football” group, for example), might actually be not that helpful, unless the goal is to minimize load times, in which case something like “save to new bookmarks folder” may actually be more helpful and quicker to build.
Also, to answer the question…you’ll get it when its done. If you are interested in contributing your development efforts, we welcome that for sure, please email tgp.support@t3approved.com

Drag and drop reordering of tabgroups
Tabgroups should be able to be reordered by dragging the groups around just as normal tabs can be

Bugs w/ Firefox 3.0.5
I have a few bugs using Firefox 3.0.5. with Tab Groups Plus .0.4.1
First, the very first tab does not keep its name after Firefox is closed. When I restart Firefox it is named "New Group" no matter how many times I change it.
Second, if I close Firefox in say the 5th tab group, when I restart Firefox the 2nd tab group will have the same name. The content will be ok, just the name has been changed.
Third, when I close Firefox, the window and tab I am on now is in the first tab group and first… more

"Open All in a TabGroup" replaces "Open All in Tabs".
I'm assuming that this is a feature that you'd like to see added to the Bookmarks section of Firefox. If so then we may look into it.

User Pre-Configured Tabgroups
Add the ability to have User Pre-Configured or Saved Tabgroups that when launched could be prepopulate with tabs
Ex:

2 bugs
- When I close and reopen Firefox, each group are duplicated to keep only one tab.
[groupA(3)] [groupB(4)]
Will be, after restarting firefox :
[groupA(1)] [groupA(1)] [groupA(1)] [groupB(1)] [groupB(1)] [groupB(1)] [groupB(1)]- "Undo closed tabs" plugins work but Undo-ed tabs don't reappear in their original group nor focused like normally.

We are aware of the first issue and are looking into it. The second issue is pretty much how we coded it. We were only trying to fix the “creation” of a new tab when unclosed tabs are opened.

Conflict with Tabs Open Relative
I really like your add-on but it seems to disable the add-on Tabs Open Relative with I also love. Please fix or work with Tabs Open Relative author for a fix. Or is there a workaround?

Right-Click To Open A Bookmarked Folder As A TabGroup
Idea: right-click bookrmark folder > select "open as tabgroup".
If there is already a tabgroup with the same name as the bookmark folder open, then the recently opened tabgroup would have a number 1 appended after it.
If there are subfolders of the bookmark folder you just right-clicked, offer the option to "open subfolders as tabgroups".

Right click on tab should have option to send to new group
or the option to send the tab to one of your existing groups.
This should be a user defined option.

Add a toolbar menu-button option to replace the tabgroup-bar
Basically I'm suggesting a menu-button that when clicked lists the current tab-groups and a create new tab-group item at the bottom. However this could complicate things if for instance, the ability to drag tabs onto a tab-group is added.

Hierarchical tab groups
Tab groups could contain other tab groups, which, in turn could contain others. This would allow tabs to be organised into groups in much the same way as files are organised into folders on a computer.
I expect this would be quite difficult and might require a new UI, so I don't really expect it to happen, but thought I'd throw up the idea just in case you're interested.
Some of this functionality is almost duplicated by the bookmarks system within firefox, so the reward for the significant work required may not be worth it.7 votes -

don't close group / last tab
I would like to have option, that block group closing, when I close last tab. Similar to Tab Mix Plus "don't close window when I close last tab"

Change appearance of tab - color, icons
Colors of tabs allow further organization. Green= important, yellow = not so important, etc... Also icons can give a quick visual representation of the workspace. Ex. flag=reminder, clock=schenduling, etc...

bug: Standard tab navigation keys affect tabgroups
Now that [Unique key bindings for navigating between tab groups] has been implemented, standard tab navigation keys should no longer affect tabgroups.
Standard navigation keys should also work for tabs (not tabgroups) even when tabgroups have context (the dotted rectangle is around the name of the tabgroup)4 votes -
hide groups
hi
what about an option to hide a group?
*rightclick on a group* > "hide group" would be nice ;)3 votes -
Bookmark all tabs to put bookmarks in folders
When the user selects "Bookmark all tabs" from the menu (or presses the appropriate key combination), it would be good if the current tabs could be bookmarked into folders which would represent the currently open groups.
It might be good to have this as an option in the bookmark all tabs dialog, or as a separate menu item.

Problem with Firefox 3.0.4
The add--on seemed to work just fine with 3.0.3 but since I upgraded to 3.0.4 it will not retain Group renamed titles. Any ideas?

Double-click tab group opens edit window to rename tab group
When double clicking a tab group, I'd like to either be able to rename the tab group in place, or open up the dialog to rename it
